In 2010, South Yarra Painting was created with the intention of servicing and painting homes exclusively in South Yarra and the City of Stonnington.
Whilst this still remains the core focus of our business, we will paint anywhere throughout the inner suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula.
We are Dulux Accredited in addition to being a selected member of the Master Painters of Victoria (MPAV). Our goal is to consistently exceed our clients expectations with meticulous workmanship ensuring a perfect finish each and every time.
As part of our continued long-term strategy, we hope to be the most ‘in-demand’ domestic painting contractor South of the Yarra River.

How much involvement will I need to have while my home is being painted?
Once the scope of work, colours and finishes have been agreed, you shouldn’t need to manage the painting project day to day.
South Yarra Painting takes responsibility for organising the work, protecting your home, completing the required preparation and managing the painting through to the final finish and clean-up. We’ll keep you informed as the project progresses and only involve you when a decision or unexpected issue genuinely requires your input.
Many of our clients value being able to leave the project in our hands, with feedback often highlighting clear communication, punctuality, professionalism and minimal disruption throughout the work. This is particularly important for busy homeowners who want confidence that their property is being properly looked after without having to supervise every stage.

How will you keep my home clean and liveable while the painting is underway?
We understand that we’re working in your home, not simply on a job site. Keeping your property protected, organised and as liveable as possible is an important part of how we work.
Before painting begins, floors, furniture, cabinetry, fixtures and surrounding areas are carefully protected. Our painters keep work areas organised, manage dust and painting materials responsibly, and clean up progressively rather than leaving everything until the project is finished.
Where possible, we plan the work in stages to minimise disruption to your household and keep areas of your home accessible while painting is underway.
Our attention to detail extends beyond the painted surfaces. We take pride in treating every property with care and respect, leaving work areas clean and ensuring your home is properly looked after throughout the project.
Will I need to organise other trades if repairs are discovered before painting?
Not necessarily. Thorough preparation can sometimes uncover issues that weren’t visible during the initial inspection, particularly in older Melbourne homes. These might include damaged timber, cracks, deteriorated surfaces, moisture issues or previous repairs that need attention before painting can continue.
Rather than simply painting over a problem, we’ll explain what we’ve found and recommend the best way forward to ensure it doesn’t compromise the finished result.
Where specialist work is required, we’ll help coordinate the appropriate trades where possible, rather than leaving you to manage the process yourself. We’ll keep you informed about what needs to be done and why before any additional work proceeds.

Yes. Preparation is one of our particular strengths and an important part of achieving the standard of finish we expect.
Our team can undertake plaster repairs, filling, sanding, surface restoration and detailed preparation of walls, ceilings, timber work and other surfaces before painting begins. We also have extensive knowledge of acrylic and oil-based products and can advise on the appropriate paint system and finish for different surfaces.
Our painters are skilled in traditional brush and roller application as well as airless and HVLP spray equipment, allowing us to choose the right method for the property and finish required.
We also provide detailed written estimates so the preparation, repairs, products and painting are clearly defined from the outset.
